Teaching & Research

Teaching Medical Students

Paston Surgery is a teaching practice and we teach 1st and 3rd year medical students here at the surgery on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

As part of their training it is vitally important to gain experience with our patients. This enables them to develop and learn from real life situations.

We occasionally will contact patients with specific conditions to see if they are willing to help the students and surgery by volunteering their time. We need patients with conditions related to:

Renal and Urology

If you are willing to assist us with this very important aspect of training, please ask reception who will be able to assist you.

Those patients kind enough to help out are placed into a prize draw where you can win a £25 Waitrose Voucher.

The surgery is research accredited, which means we are able to undertake research projects.  This includes research involving medicines, long term studies of medical conditions.
