Keeping all patients safe after 19th July 2021

Patients will be aware that most COVID restriction rules will end in England on 19th July 2021.

Throughout the pandemic, Paston has strived to make the Surgery as safe as possible for all our patients and staff. This will continue after 19th July 2021and so Patients will see very few changes at the Surgery.

COVID-19 has not disappeared, and it is likely to circulate in the population for the foreseeable future. The number of cases across the Country has been rising sharply in recent weeks.

Paston will therefore continue to: –

  • Request Patients wear a mask or face covering while at the Practice
  • Provide space in the Surgery to allow Patients to socially distance
  • Get patients to use hand sanitiser while in the surgery
  • Get staff in contact with Patients to wear PPE

We know these small measures can be frustrating but patients coming to see us are sick/vulnerable and need protection. Not everyone has had or can be given the COVID vaccination and we don’t know enough yet about transmission to/from vaccinated patients.

All Paston staff have been double vaccinated and continue to check twice weekly for COVID.

We have always seen patients who need to be seen and did so right through the pandemic. We will continue to do so but will continue with these small measures to make the Practice safe for everyone.

A huge “thank you” to Paston patients (and those in the wider North Walsham community) who have come a long way in trying to minimise the transmission of COVID and other infectious diseases.

The cooperation and understanding from patients is really appreciated.
